Bilas Art Museum), Oksana Chipak (Methodist of the People’s House of Truskavets).

The cultural tourism team will present to the exhibition guests the resort town of Truskavets from the foothills of the Eastern Carpathians, its natural healing factors, a sanatorium-resort base with medical and recreational infrastructure, and the possibilities of various forms of tourism and cultural leisure.

A magical corner of the Ukrainian land - Truskavets, the main wealth of which is healing mineral waters, is known throughout the world as a balneological resort that has been operating for about 200 years, creating favorable conditions for the recreation of the physical and spiritual forces of a person.

A powerful base of mineral waters is used for many balneological procedures, which differ in chemical composition and degree of mineralization. But the most famous among them is the healing water "Naftusia", which is used to treat internal human ailments, such as diseases of the liver, kidneys, biliary tract, etc., and miraculous reviews of which are spreading all over the world.

Physical treatment in Truskavets is perfectly complemented by historical and artistic knowledge about it and its famous residents in two cultural and educational institutions of the city: the Museum of the resort city of Truskavets and the Art Museum of M. Bilas, located in the old resort villas of 20th century, which will also be presented at the tourist exhibition.

The museum of the resort city of Truskavets has been operating since 1982 and tells about the history and culture of the world-famous resort from the depths of the ages to the present day: about Medieval Truskavets during the princely times and Polish kings; the noble Truskavets of the times of Austria-Hungary and the Polish state; the cultural and everyday lifestyle of the local Boik population, which characterizes the unique spiritual and material culture of Pidhirya; the era of the Soviet resort; the state of the Truskavet mineral water deposit; Truskavets as a recreational pearl of modern Ukraine. In addition, there is an art gallery where art and local history exhibitions are exhibited. In the current time of war, the Museum pays special attention to the work with the soldiers of the Armed Forces, who are undergoing treatment and rehabilitation in Truskavets.

Since 1992, the Art Museum of world-famous artist, People’s Artist of Ukraine Mykhailo Bilas has been operating in Truskavets. This temple of art is rightfully considered the national pride of our country. The museum exhibits the artist’s textile works: carpet weaving, tapestries, mini-tapestries, sackcloths, hairy bedspreads, as well as applications, decorative flowers, pastels, embroidered works. The exposition is spread over 12 halls, where more than 170 original works of Mykhailo Bilas are presented. In addition to the permanent exhibition of M. Bilas, modern exhibition halls present the works of well-known and young artists of various genres of art. Since the beginning of the war, a volunteer center has been operating in the museum, where all concerned Ukrainians weave protective nets, sew T-shirts, balaclavas, hats, first-aid kits, stretchers for the wounded, and purchase and donate many other necessary items.

Our information arsenal will also include promotional handouts and video material about the resort city and its opportunities, including about the city’s museums; wooden museum tourist stamps and a book on the history of Truskavets (in Ukrainian), which can be purchased.
