Arvid Axland

Arvid Axland will give you some awakening inspiration of how you can become more successful as a company with an innovative customer experience approach. He will present a way of thinking as well as sensational examples from companies that have succeeded, from his book "The Art of Designing Meaningful Experiences".

Arvid Axland is a Swedish thought leader within Customer Experience. Arvids mission with his book and his lectures is to have more companies discover the possibilities of acting as a holistic and meaningful experience. People’s view on what is important and valuable in their relationship with companies and consumption is changing fundamentally. And fast. That takes some radical rethinking in how you act as a company. A huge business opportunity, if you like.

Travel as a meaningful adventure – a new business opportunity in the tourism industry

Dāvis Braučs, Social Media Director at Prospero

Social and other digital media play a major role in the travel habits and the process of selecting destinations of the Generation Z (16-23 years). Moreover, the younger generation is already transferring their habits to older generations. Tourism marketing will have to be able to conjure up experience before experience, as the role and value of the place diminishes as opposed to experience – the offering of adventures. In his story, Dāvis will answer the question which media habits of young people are worth paying attention to, as well as he will look at the channels and communication examples that are relevant to young people.

“How young people's habits will change future travel?”

Laura Celmāra, Social Media Project Manager at Infinitum Agency, Social Media Marketing Coach at Digital Journey

As we enter the new decade, Laura will share a variety of content marketing solutions that will be useful for larger and smaller tourism-related organisations to market a new product or service. The presentation will focus on a new tourist attraction – a viewing tower, the Wine Festival, a self-organized event, and an inspiring excursion “Travel Kurzeme!”. If you, too, wish to discover solutions for the coming decade, come and join!

“How to make good use of content diversity for marketing a new product?”

Sanda Majore, Baltic marketing and product manager at Latvia's national airline airBaltic

Sanda has been representing airBaltic for more than 13 years. She built her experience and resilience working with the customers at the airport ticket office, where passengers are always in a hurry. Currently, her focus is the airBaltic sales results and cooperation with travel agencies in 12 countries, including Latvia.

Opinion leader marketing

Digital influencers are changing the tourism and hospitality industry, and they have a direct impact on our business. How to use it to our benefit? What can we learn from those who succeed?

Presentation by Artūrs Mednis, digital marketing expert and CEO of the New Black agency: “Trends of influencer marketing – what to continue, what to stop, and what to start doing in 2020”. Is the “instagrammability” of a place becoming more important than the actual experience? What platforms should you pay attention to? What has changed in recent years? Find out the answers to these questions and more!

Panel discussion “Practical influencer marketing in Latvia”. What and how can we use the impact of influencers in our daily work regarding both inbound and outbound tourism? Where to start? How to measure the results of influencers’ work? What to take into account when working with influencers? These and other questions will be addressed in a panel discussion with Latvian companies who have been working with Latvian and foreign influencers for years. What can we learn from their experience? Moderator: Artūrs Mednis

Artūrs Mednis is a new media and digital marketing expert with more than 18 years of experience in the industry.
