BALTTOUR Business Forum of the leading tourism fair in the Baltics is a unique event in the tourism industry of the Baltic region. As the active tourism season begins, the business forum provides tourism professionals with the possibility to get to know the trends of the industry, draw new ideas for business development and form useful professional contacts.

WTCF is an international tourism NGO, initiated by Beijing Municipality and Beijing Municipal Commission on Tourism Development. R.Matuzevich duties include communication with 40 city members and new member development. Event, forum and yearly “Fragrant Hills Tourism Summit” organization. Participation in exhibitions and new business development.

Mikus Opelts, the founder of SkatSkat.lv and Giraffe360, virtual reality expert

Mikus has worked on interactive technology projects within the tourism industry in the UK, Germany, Sweden, Finland, Georgia and the USA with companies such as Hilton, Rooms Hotel, Viking Line, Finnline and Media SPA.

Ēriks Lingebērziņš, the CEO and Board Member of SIA Baltic Vision Riga

Ēriks Lingebērziņš has obtained a doctoral degree in business management by researching the specifics of tourism company management, the concept of tourism products and the impact of cultural differences between tourists on customer satisfaction. He has been working in the tourism industry for 16 years, and is currently the CEO of Baltic Vision Riga. Alongside his business endeavours, he is also a lecturer at the Faculty of International Tourism of Turība University and the Manager of the Tourism Research Centre.

Sanda Teihmane, airBaltic Sales Manager in the Baltic states

Sanda has represented the airBaltic airline with great enthusiasm for 10 years. She gained her experience and understanding of working with customers at the airBaltic ticket office in the airport, where customers tend to be most hurried. She is currently in charge of airBaltic sales performance and cooperation with tourism agencies in 12 countries, including Latvia. At the forum, Sanda will be joined by Toms Andersons, the Vice President of the airBaltic Sales Department.

David lives in Paris, where he has worked as a guide for more than 25 years.
At the forum, David will talk about how professional guides are swiftly being replaced by audio and video guides. He will raise the issue of whether or not modern technologies can put an end to the guide profession.

Vladislavs Korjagins, the Director of Baltic Travel Group

Vladislavs Korjagins has been working in the tourism industry since 1992. He has been at the helm of Baltic Travel Group, one of the most innovative tourism companies in the Baltics, for 17 years. The company works with inbound tourism, organises conferences and corporate events, provides corporate customer service and online solutions in the tourism sector. Vladislavs has a master’s degree in Business Administration from the Stockholm School of Economics in Riga. He has received two Man of the Year in Tourism awards.

Rolands Gradkovskis, the Director of TAKA Daugavpils municipal agency

Rolands has worked in the tourism industry for the past four years, having spent more than 20 years before that working in education and finance. He has a master’s degree in physics. The TAKA Daugavpils municipal agency oversees the tourism industry, develops new tourism products, offers TIC services, administrates the Višķi Open-Air Stage and Stadium complex and organises cultural and sporting events at the complex.

George G. Ganchev, the Director of Grand Hotel Kempinski Riga

George Ganchev is with Kempinski since 1997. He has been part of pre-opening team of Emirates Palace Abu Dhabi named by Kempinski since 2010 and has managed city and resort Kempinski Hotels in Middle East. He has got MBA from Neoma Business School Paris, France.

Anta Jokste, the Director of Estravel Latvia

Anta is the General Manager of the Estravel Latvia tourism agency with 28 years of experience in the international tourism industry, including organising international deals, holidays, conferences, seminars and events, project management, and the development of buyer–supplier cooperation agreements. Anta Jokste is a member of the Association of Latvian Travel Agents and Operators, and also project support officer at the Tourism Department of the Investment and Development Agency of Latvia. She regularly participates in international tourism and transport industry congresses and trade fairs, as well as represents American Express within the Global Business Travel Partner Network.

Leonids Mocenovs, Chief Executive Officer and Board member at SIA “NOVATOURS”

Leonids Mocenovs has been working in tourism industry since 1997, for the last 15 years as the manager of “Novatours”. “Novatours” is the leading tour operator in Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia. The company has placed its capital and financial resources in the Baltic states and the USA, thus ensuring future stability of the services purchased today. The operator organises holiday and sightseeing tours by charter flights. “Novatours” guarantees high-quality, reliable and safe travel solutions even to the farthermost destinations.

Daira Jātniece, the owner of Vaidelotes farm

Daira Jātniece is the owner of Vaidelotes farm and has a master’s degree in farming. She has a husband named Arnolds and five sons. The Jātnieki family works at Vaidelotes, which has been an open farm for five years. Guests are introduced to country life and the plants growing in the fields, including medicinal plants and herbs. There are three heritage trees growing at the farm. The guests are interested in stories about the family’s and farm’s history, and the Latvian way of life and traditions that are still maintained in this household. The main features are the farm’s simplicity and the presence of the owners.

Guntars Ķirsis, board member of SIA Dzintaru koncertzāle and VSIA Latvijas koncerti

Guntars Ķirsis is one of the most experienced representatives of music management in Latvia. Until 2005, he was the director of the Grammy-winning Latvian Radio Choir. Since 2005, he has been leading the most powerful concert agency in the Baltics VSIA Latvijas koncerti. Under his leadership, classic music festivals and concerts in Latvia have gained wide international resonance. He is one of the authors and organisers of the idea of the Nordic and Baltic Art Festival Conference and the artistic director of many festivals. He has been the Chairman of Dzintari Concert Hall since 2014. The Small Hall of the historical Dzintari Concert Hall was reconstructed and opened under his guidance, and is now successfully spending the second concert season lasting the whole year. Together with the Large Hall the complex of Dzintari Concert Hall is a significant ‘magnet’ of the cultural life of Jūrmala City, allowing visitors to enjoy outstanding musical performances by international artists all year round.
