On Wednesday, 1 February, conference centre “Citadele” hosted the “Balttour 2017” business forum, which was attended by more than 120 tourism industry professionals from all over Latvia.
The forum was opened by Irēna Riekstiņa, Secretary General of the Association of Latvian Travel Agents and Operators (ALTA), and Andris Ozols, Director of the Investment and Development Agency of Latvia (LIAA).
At first, professionals of the industry were provided information regarding specifics of the Chinese market and nuances for attracting Chinese tourists, which was followed by three work sessions on virtual reality possibilities in the promotion of tourism business, cooperation in the development of tourism products, as well as the new destinations of “airBaltic”.
