Balttour 2016 shows that people will keep travelling!


The 23rd International Travel Trade Fair Balttour 2016, which ended on 7 February, showed that the geopolitical events have not affected people’s wish to travel, but they have made them more cautious. Tourism agencies and operators confirm that the demand for trips abroad is still high.


For three days the fair visitors at Íîpsala had a chance to learn of new routes and destinations, marvel at the diversity of world cultures, purchase trips and enjoy the hospitality of different regions of Latvia.


This year the fair gathered 850 tourism companies and their representatives from Cuba, Switzerland, Zanzibar, Spain, Georgia, Hungary, Turkey and others, altogether 41 countries of the world. More than 26 thousand enthusiasts, including 5.3 thousand tourism industry professionals and invited guests arrived to learn of the latest and best offers. Read more >>
