BT 1 signs a memorandum of co-operation with the State Committee for Tourism Development of Uzbekistan
On 30 June of the present year the Íîpsala International Exhibition Centre was visited by a delegation from Uzbekistan in order to meet with Viesturs Tîle, Chair of the Board of the International Exhibition Company BT 1, and Dainis Bricis, Manager of the International Travel Trade Fair “Balttour”. The meeting resulted in a signed memorandum on the bilateral co-operation between the “Balttour” and “Tourism on the Silk Road” (TITF) fairs.
The Travel Trade Fair “Balttour 2017” has come to a successful conclusion!
On 5 February, the Travel Trade Fair “Balttour 2017” came to an end in Íîpsala, showing that people’s desire to travel is increasing once again and that travellers have become more knowledgeable, determined and demanding. The visitors acquired information and ideas for their leisure, and, according to tour operators and agencies, they also used the travel sale actively!
During the three days of the fair, “Balttour 2017” was visited by 28 thousand travellers and tourism professionals
On 5 February, the Travel Trade Fair “Balttour 2017” came to a conclusion in Íîpsala, gathering 850 tourism companies and their representatives from 38 countries of the world in two thematic halls. There were 28 thousand people who came searching for inspiration to travel around Latvia and the world, 5.5 thousand of which were professionals of the industry.

Riga will host the business forum for tourism professionals
On 1 February, in Riga, the “Balttour 2017” business forum will be held at the “Citadele” conference centre, thus launching the largest travel fair in the Baltics. It will be an opportunity for professionals of the tourism industry to acquire information on virtual reality possibilities in the promotion of tourism business, analyse cooperation in the development of tourism products, as well as get to know the new destinations of “airBaltic”.
The hottest offer for travellers at “Balttour 2017”!
From 3 to 5 February, Íîpsala will host the 24th International Travel Trade Fair “Balttour 2017”, which will invite every traveller and holiday-maker to travel around Latvia and discover the world. The fair will provide information on leisure possibilities and tourism news from 40 countries of the world, and a large sale of trips will also be taking place during all three days!
The forum of the “Balttour” trade fair for professionals will take place a day earlier!
The “Balttour” trade fair will be opened by the tourism business forum for the sixth year, with its time having been changed this year in order for Latvian tourism professionals to be able to combine participation in the forum and the fair more conveniently. In 2017, the forum will take place two days before the fair – on Wednesday, 1 February! However, the venue will remain unchanged – conference centre “Citadele”.
Preparation for Balttour 2017 is underway
The Travel Trade Fair “Balttour 2017” offering information on the newest recreation opportunities and travel deals in 40 countries and Latvia will take place at Kipsala International Exhibition Centre in early February, from 3–5 February. Tourism companies report a high interest in participating the fair – more than 60% of the exhibition space has already been booked!

On 7 February the 23rd International Travel Trade Fair “Balttour 2016” came to an end in Íîpsala, this year gathering 850 tourism companies and their representatives from 41 countries. More than 26 thousand people came to get acquainted with the newest and best offers, with 5.3 thousand of them being professionals of the tourism industry and invited guests.
