Discover Zemgale at the “Balttour 2026” Exhibition!
From 6 to 8 February, the Zemgale region will take part in the international travel exhibition “Balttour 2026” in Riga. Zemgale will be represented at a joint stand, bringing together the municipalities and cities of Dobele, Aizkraukle, Bauska, Jelgava, and Jēkabpils.
Under the unified message “Zemgale Invites”, the region will present itself as an attractive destination for a wide range of audiences – families with children, active travel enthusiasts, culture and history lovers, as well as those seeking peaceful and unhurried recreation.
Throughout the exhibition, the stand will showcase the latest tourism offers and themed routes, the major events of the year, and the results of recently implemented tourism projects. These include canoeing guides for the rivers of Zemgale and Selonia, newly developed digital tourism products, and military heritage routes designed to explore the region’s historical legacy.
Visitors will have the opportunity to discover new experiences, accommodation options, natural attractions, and activities available in Zemgale throughout the year.
To make the stand experience more engaging, tourism information centres from the participating municipalities have prepared a range of interactive and educational activities for visitors.
On the exhibition’s main stage, Zemgale will be represented by the Igo Music and Art Centre “Ceplis”, the traditional costume workshop “Austras raksti”, as well as participants of the Latvia–Lithuania cross-border tourism campaign “Discover Your Neighbours in Zemgale!”.
Zemgale’s participation in the exhibition is organised by the Zemgale Tourism Association in cooperation with local municipalities across the region.
